As far as software, you can get in some good drawing practice with the application that probably already came with your computer, such as Windows Paint or equivalent. It's not capable of much subtlety in shading and coloring, but it will give you a chance to get used to your digital tablet. The tablet will work much like a mouse in that you can click, double click, click and drag, right click, etc. 

When you are ready for some serious digital work, you can do very well with an entry level application like Adobe Photoshop Elements.  the full version Photoshop,

All the Adobe Software. Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect, Premiere, In Designs, etc.. 

But for the3D Purpose I use3D Studio Max with V-Ray Plugin.

exactly you will find the( comfortable  ) when you  join all you\\r experience of programs together .... ex: i need Photoshop to edit the maps i need to use in clothing that we do by3D MAX .

Adobe Products.. I use mostly  Photoshop and later as my base software for different genres of my design, Lightroom for photo enhancement, color calibration and sharing for my flickr, behance, and facebook accounts, Illustrator for my illustration and typography, Muse for my web design and the rest is photoshop elements, acrobat and fireworks..
