Hello Bhojraj
Good question however I don't agree that Twitter is THE best social media platform.
The good and bad platform depends on what, who and when you wish to target and what your business is.
For example Pinterest is ideal if you wish to target women.
Linkedin is great for B2B
Facebook is good for B2C communication with some form of interactivity.
The quality of Twitter is that you are not limited to the number of posts per day. It is more aggressive, active and vibrant. It is also a great tool for q quick two way conversation. If Twitter is not handled correctly then it can also damage your company's reputation.
I am glad you asked me to answer this question. I am not going to lie, Twitter is my favorite social network along with Pinterest. Still, there are many social networks, and each of them has its own unique purpose in the world of business.
Although I am tempted to talk about many of them, I will just focus on Twitter here.

2) It's effective because customers can quickly inquire about brands.
3) It's resourceful because brands, business and customers can be absolutely casual in tone.
4) Its vastness and user-base has enabled it to compete with the likes of Google and Bing in terms of search.
5) It's rich in content enabling businesses to reach out the media and bloggers and PR professionals.
