Unless the local talent pipeline is available and ready, I believe the Company should be open to hire international staff and provide sponsorship if qualified. This will not only increase the quality and quantity of talent, but will also improve the strength and diversity of the talent pipeline. In today's fast-paced and highly competitive work environment where the quality of 'talent' is the only differentiator, it is imperative that good companies focus on hiring the best resources, irrespective of their nationality, as this will also improve the quality and availability of the local talent in the long run, due to better competition.
