Yes of course.  A person's age has (in general) nothing to do with their ability to do a job.

Age discrimination is wrong.  In many countries it is illegal.  In the UK for example, it is illegal to ask for a candidate's age or date of birth.

The older candidates have many advantages. For example, they have work experience and their propensity to just dump your organization at the slightest opportunity is very slim. Some of them are even more open to learn than these younger folks.

Yes, age is not the limit, and some people are late-bloomers, they manage to fullfill their potential and career aspirations later than others, but it does not make them less skillful because they are older

Big Yes because really I cannot imagine anything else being as interesting, challenging, exhilarating, and rewarding as some of the jobs I have had. Plus, every now and again, things go right, and you walk away feeling that, for some people, in some places, the world is a better place because of something you did. That’s tremendously powerful and motivating, and it’s what keeps many people doing this. This doesn’t happen every day, and the degree to which you feel a direct link between what you do and change in people’s lives depends on where you sit in the organization, but for most of us, there is a feeling that what we are doing is contributing to making the world a better place.
