If somebody is being rude then it is essential that you should take some kind of action immediately.  You don't want it to happen again.

People are usually rude for a reason, and it's usually got very little to do with the actual incident.  For a firsoffender, start with a gentle approach and find out what the real problem is.

there is risk of worse consequences if the subordinates go against the manager because everyemployee has different thinking, all of the subordinates may not be against him/her.  However, you can handle this situation easily if you have Whistle-Blow Policy. The name of the Whistle-Blower is kept confidential....
