what is the rule for good customer service?

1-Don't make promises unless you will keep them 2-Listen to your customers 3-Be helpful - even if there's no immediate profit in it 4- Take the extra step. For instance, if someone walks into your store and asks you to help them find something, don't just say, "It's in Aisle 3". Lead the customer to the item. Better yet, wait and see if he has questions about it, or further needs. Whatever the extra step may be 5-Throw in something extra. Whether it's a coupon for a future discount, additional information on how to use the product, or a genuine smile, people love to get more than they thought they were getting. And don’t think that a gesture has to be large to be effective. The local art framer that we use attaches a package of picture hangers to every picture he frames. A small thing, but so appreciated.

Rule#1, treat customers (others) the same way you'd like to be treated.
Customer is NOT always right, but do everything you can possibly do to help resolve their issue.
Own the issue from start to resolution.
Acknowledge, Frame the issue; Communicate, listen, ensure you understand the issue, gather data, don't be afraid to ask questions, analyze, keep the customer informed and up to date, offer alternatives/workarounds, if you cannot fix it try and replace it, most importantly; good communication skills is very essential in the customer support/service world..

GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE is when you serve you CLIENT WITH HIGHEST DEGREE OF INTEGRITY, HONESTY AND PROFESSIONALISM.
I believe, good customer service is when a company makes you a very satisfied customer.
For example when the do all the requests that you ask them for, when they treat you well, when they answer all your questions, when they hear your complaints, concerns and they help you with them.
So basically a good customer service is when a the company treats the customer like a king or a queen.
