As per the current trend, the preferred CRM software of choice is Microsoft Dynamics. But some of the top ERP providers like SAP, Oracle, Infor and many others offer similar functionality in their bundled CRM's

Without any question – Salesforce. It’s scalable, flexible and answers all crucial business needs. Not to mention the amount of extensions that you can customize your CRM with is vastly greater than any other platform on the market right now. Plus there are many high-class Salesforce solutions providers that can tailor CRM to your specific requirements.  You might want also to consider Pipedrive or BaseCRM, which are alright. But these options are not as flexible and wouldn’t apply to every case.

It really depends on your needs. If you are a smaller company with5-10 per sales person and not crazy data driven in your sales process most would work, but I would go for something that is fast and easy to use: Pipedrive (www.pipedrive.com), BaseCRM (getbase.com), etc. If you want it to be in Gmail I think Streak (www.streak.com) is a good alternative. If you are a bigger sales team or have specialised roles, handle a bigger inflow of customers, and want more insight I would go or a bigger CRM. Microsoft Dynamics (Page on microsoft.com) if you love their products in general and Salesforce (www.salesforce.com) if you don't. We are a SAAS company and handle a inflow of30+ companies every week, we want our CRM to be integrated with our product so if a customer stops using our product, the customer success team can reach out. And yes, we like being really data driven about sales. So we chose Salesforce.

about sales. So we chose Salesforce. And after a while we started building a tool to help our sales process, to help our sales team to save time and know exactly what to do. Quickly that showed to be a great product, so if you are a Salesforce user you can download and use Brisk for free: Brisk.io - Salesforce sidebarWritten 50w ago

Sales Force is best of breed, however one issue may emerge if you consider implementing a complete enterprise integrated solution where best of breed approach will create considerable challenges in scalability upgrade and integration when you try to upgrade or connect your CRM with other legacy systems. It is very advisable to look thoroughly into your core business requirement if it's more to SCM select a technology partner whom can provide a complete solution with best SCM functionality JDE for instance, and if your business is more into retail and customer services then you can go for Dynamics NAV and MS CRM as a one platform integrated solution.
