BEING A LISTENER. To personalize service, you have to listen to your client's words, analyze their body language (for what they are saying without using words), and overall behavior monitored by maintaining excellent relationships with them. The only way to give great customer service that is PERSONALIZED is by giving a client WHAT THEY WANT - customized.

I think listening is not always THE key. Sometimes, you have to handle the situation with strength, otherwise the risk is listening for hours to complaining which is not really helpful to solve the problem. So, of course you should listen; then pick the elements you need and decide the direction you should go for.
