Working under pressure is what makes a person and I think it shows the best capabilities.

It sometimes might even create an opportunity for yourself to show a skill or talent that you yourself couldn't imagine would be possible.

There is always pressure at work - whether from your boss, your colleague or work deadline. Work pressure is what makes the job exciting; it will only become interesting when work pressure is out of place. Although work pressure can bring the best of you at times but there is no guarantee that it works all the time. Frustration comes only when nothing works despite all efforts done.

In my opinion, working under pressure surely give the push I need to finish what I started. I am not saying we should always leave things to last minute, but doing some work under pressure has a super effect on boosting my performance.

pressure has to be broken down to several categories.

1. pressure of meeting deadlines

2. achieve under financial limitations.

3. to maintain industry recognition/reputation/performances / new threats etc...

4. life & death situations ( Surgeons / Air traffic controllers etc...)

5. family pressure.

there may be many more. points 1 and2, pressure will bring the best most of the time of individuals & teams.

3,4 &5 peoples minds have to be kept calm to achieve the optimum. under pressure alternative thinking, out of the box methods or alternate options cannot be brought out in time to save the situation.

In my opinion Working under pressure will makes employee more challenging and hence one can gain versatile experience out of it.  Working under pressure one can evaluate his capacity to handle situation, ability, confidence, situational decision making, and his patience which is a plus point for his career.  In parallel to it, Organization/Company should motivate their employees by rewards, appreciations and perks for staff dedication and support to avoid any frustration.

Changes and unexpected events, problems or challenges can - and do - often occur, regardless of how well-planned or organised you are. The ability to respond effectively to pressure and stress is therefore extremely important in any line of work. How you respond will vary from person to person; some people thrive on it and perform better when under pressure, others may panic or become ineffective. It is important that you are aware of how you act in such situations and what steps you can take to improve your effectiveness in such situations if necessary.
