Not all companies were hiring the experts engineer , some of companies hire the both : experts and non-expert

Age has role in many cases where most companies were mixing old employees with young employees and these companies will benefit from experts to manage their divisions and prepared juniors to be managers in the future .

That is very easy,

Most companies need their employees to get license from big company to certify their ability. So, you can participate in any courses in you specialty to increase you references

Target smaller companies especially startups. The mistake we make is that we go for MNCs as fresh graduates whereas because of their prestige, they have advantage of sourcing from the best of the best or like you said, those with experience. Another issue is to volunteer a lot and to be willing to work without pay for sometime while also getting certificates on the sideline.By doing this, you have something to put in your resume while also networking and increasing the possibility of someone recommending you for a future post. At the end of it, unless you have the best grades, expect progress to be slow but eventually all that work pays off.

I will reccomend you to decide in which field do you want to became an expert and then apply to a company in which you believe and feel that your main interest are the same. Starting as a volunteer and keep continuos education is a good way to support your background. Working for small salary could be an option but only if the purpouse of the company is aligned with your interests

You will become a great engineer if you have the right positive attitude and determination to be the best at what you do
