What are the Top Ways to Be a Good Marketer?

What does it take to be a good marketer? You must love your product or service as a true love loves their beloved. It takes deep knowledge of the attributes, and unflagging enthusiasm. You must market constantly which means saying the same thing over and over. How many times, and how many ways can you say, "I coach people in Emotional Intelligence," or "our frosted caramel pound cake is the best you can buy"? How do you stay fresh? How do you keep taking a new look at your product and service?

to be good marketer you must fall in love with marketing, in my simple and short experience i have seen a lot of marketing managers / directors who understand nothing about marketing not creative or even have a sense of marketing :) you probably know a lot of them, trust me no university no school can guarantee that you will be genius marketer, but if you start reading about marketing from the real source of marketing specially i recommends those books ( Marketing principle for Philip kotler ) 1000 pages student version (Marketing management for kotler and keller ) 800 pages professionals version i'm 100% sure that you will know about marketing more than 75% of the managers and directors that you know , forget your products and services , take a break and start reading both books are very good start from any one wants to learn and to be real marketer.

Know your market .

Know your brand . 

Know your product.

Know the capabilities of your company . 

Know the economic conditions of the target country .

Create a  need  . 

Be a multi-tasking person . 

Have a strong sense of finance and manage effectively the annual budget . 

Know the balance between conventional marketing and digital marketing .

Know that your bachelors degree will never be enough to be a trendsetter . 

Have absolutely experience in sales function before marketing and know how to communicate with "the field" 

Have soft skills and be a communication expert. 

Be extroverted and collaborate with R&D , Sales , Finance , Production , Product Development Departments . 

Remember that marketing is a science but it demands also intuition . 

Never be the marketer of a brand you do not like . ( You can not do it passionately .) 

Be the change agent of the company . 

Have very strong relationships with media makers . 

Communicate directly with consumers and consider their feedbacks . 

Never forget that everybody is your customer . 

Be aware of the sociological changes in the world . 

Get together with marketers of very different industries  and exchange ideas . 

Always have B , C,D ,E ,F plans for your brands . 

Be the "ambassador " of your brands and always remember that your personal image represents your brands'image . 

Finally , love marketing with an endless passion ..
