what about western people when they come to arab countries,  i believe they feel secure and save in  islamic country , Dubai is an example, where you find more then nationalities are living together without any disturbance with peace and hormony.

Rather one should criticise on other countries peoples and cuture or religion, they should see themself , what thier relegion is teacing and how they are following. it is shocking !

Every country has their own culture and it does not matter ,  if you are going into a western environment or coming into an eastern environment.  Culture shock is going to happen.   I advise prepare yourself with cultural trainings that involve professional /business and the norms of a new culture you are going into.

There are many differences between the Arab world and western societies. Both societies have their own rich culture, customs and social order that defines their behavior and actions. Personally I find these differences full of educational opportunities which allows me to experience and understand how people react in a foreign cultural setting. Let me tell you how this can be fascinating observation.

I diverse community is a community with a variety of individual intake on diversity. However, some see this as an infiltration to the local Culture. Others see it as an opportunity of experiencing other cultures through diversification. However, Arabs are tend to find western societies a little overwhelming in regards the following:

-      Freedom of speech

-      Gender Equality

-      Human right laws

-      Individual rights

-      Political rights

-      Safety

-      Family law

-      Society expectations

The list can go on. But lets us ask the question why do people from an Arab heritage are faced with a cultural shock in the western world?

Well it is simply because western societies are not bothered nor interested in individual choices, appearances, sexual orientation bound by a certain religion constraints. Freedom is a blessing to some and a luxury for others.

Most originations promote diversity in the workplace because its simply brings the best out of people professionally.  However, it also can cause conflict if people don’t have a universal understanding and collaboration present, which will paralyze the organizational culture from within. This will eventually result in bad performance, lack of communication and lack of collaboration.
