Guys, if you (executive secretary) really doesn't know or quite confuse about your roles... seat with your boss first thing in the morning with a note.
write down all your duties, and ask your boss among these duties what are the major responsibilities he will not tolerate for you to miss out... then this will help you a lot to identify it.
