Guys do you think an IT university degree is more valuable than a Cisco CCNA or CCNP Certificate?

I ask this question because im amazed to find out that most IT graduates dont know basic things that are covered in the CCENT level. So as an employer would you choose one that holds an IT univeristy degree or a Cisco CCNA.

From most employer's perspective, yes! But it shouldnt be that way, the reason why is because by the time the candidate finishes his/her degree, technology would have already changed. What they have learnt would be old.

Lets take IT certs for example, every three years or so they change their books and lessons to match with the new updates.

But as I answered your question earlier, most employer's go for IT graduate.

I think that varies region to region.

There was an Interview of5xCCIE1xJNCIE of USA. He was still not graduated.

Really shocking and he touched the sky of success.

Whereas; in our region as GCC/South Asia/Middle East, its important to have IT Graduation.

Have seen many "real experts" unable to land "good job" just due to not having Graduation in the field.
