As the demand for social development workers is on the rise, the need to get volunteers who adequately fit in the right position is also considered. Adequate leadership skills and the right mix of people. Need to be grouped as team to get the job done effectively.
With volunteers it's very important to get people into the right roles. Consequently, there's no point selecting somebody to be a leader unless that role suits them. I have both hired volunteers directly into leadership roles, and also selected them from the group of volunteers: both methods work well providing you have the right person. I just look for leadership skills and potential - if you actually observe somebody in a team setting for a while it's usually pretty obvious. Basic interview questions ('how would you feel about leading the team?') are surprisingly effective because there is no money involved so people can be honest.
volunteers are the core of success in life ... i have been managing volunteers for ten years ... and I reached to a point where I knew that a volunteer no matter what is his age , culture , or back ground ...he is always a treasure ... and to use this treasure ... First , you need to discover it ... let the within power comes out ... discover , his thoughts , likes and dislikes .... Then , watch more closely ,.. enroll the volunteers according the treasure you see .... you ll know that a leader either is born to lead .. or hidden to discover and lead ... he is there with your talents and getting the treasure out , you ll know who best fits for the position ...
