What is the best video editing software I can use other than Adobe Premiere?

Adobe Premiere is a good powerful software but if you feel like testing other good ones, maybe you should go for Sony Vegas.
I have been using Sony Vegas for almost 6 years now and it's great! It has great rendering options as well.
If you are a Mac user then go for Final Cut PRO.

I'm a Mac user so Final Cut Pro X is my favorite despite the problems it had at first release.
The latest update is great - more powerful and easier to use.
I haven't tried Pinnacle's Studio 16 Ultimate but it got some interesting reviews.
It is meant to compete with Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD and Corel's VideoStudio Pro.
