Studied a lot. Studied the tools & programs. Studied the different techniques of work. Studied design theories. Studied other graphic designers' work which I admire. Studied most of the tutorials that are spread everywhere online. Studied my own preferences and how it could be tailored for commercial work. Then I decided to stopp studying everything and selectively study what appeals to my style and preferences.

I learn't from vintage designs styles too, often we like to connect to the past that we all commonly connected before. It works to Great deal!
Look forward to reading other peoples comments...
Read in different fields, keep searching for the design news and techniques trends, imagine ideas, and try to do a personal project to apply what I've learned.
Always keep in touch with Professional Graphic Designers and watch them designs, learn from the best to be better.
I worked a lot to improve my skills by participation in workshops and I get a training at one of the graphic companies and about learning the technique of the different programs used in graphic I watched alot of tutorials on youtube and many courses online .
Also you have to increase your sight knowledge by surfing the internet for graphic design . learn from what you see and gain knowledge and try to be different
On your free time, do "mock" up layouts for different companies. Take a cereal box and improve the design, critique the colors used, the typography, try to fine-tune your skills in finding the right hex code for colors, or the right font so that you can both copy AND improve the work that you examined.
I just practice every day to improve my knowledge , and watch Inspirational works that will motivate me to work better.
