How can I increase the number of readers in my blog?

There are several ways to achieve higher numbers when it comes to views, of course it all depends on the type of content you provide on your blog, is it a viral topic ? What category your blog is listed under? Social, Food, Tech, etc? Some topics get more traffic due to the nature of the content and the information presented; for example, Tech blogs get more traffic than food blogs,  and so on.

Social media is a great content marketing tool! Facebook and twitter are very useful to target a specific audience, also SEO is critical, the more your content is unique the more it will be pumped up the search results and in result more visitors.

There are various way you can go in driving more readers to your blog.

• Social media: I think this not just faster but also easier. Jump into Twitter, share your blog post, if you are thinking to expose a topic, make a hashtag related to your campaign post. Now Facebook also has hashtag. Ask & don't forget people to thank people who share your post. The more it becomes trending the more people coming to your blog. Picture sharing is also fun, use Pinterest, Instagram that linked to your blog post.
• Blog networking: you can do either do blog walking by visiting other blogs in your niche, simply leaving useful comments and your blog url on the visited blog, you just ask people to track you at your blog. The other one is guest blogging, inviting an authority blogger to write in your blog or be a guest blogger in other blog is also helps in gaining more traffic.
