What are the precautions during marketing of corrosive chemicals?

A corrosive material is a highly reactive substance that causes obvious damage to living tissue. Acids and Bases are common corrosive materials. Corrosives such as these are also sometimes referred to as caustics. Typical examples of acidic corrosives are hydrochloric (muriatic) acid and sulfuric acid. Typical examples of basic corrosives are sodium hydroxide and lye. For example, with particularly dangerous chemicals such as concentrated hydrofluoric acid, rinsing more than5 minutes would undoubtedly be less effective than administering treatment with calcium gluconate gel. Likewise, if a chemical accident involves traumatic injuries, a shorter rinse period may be necessary in order to stem bleeding etc.

Corrosive materials pose serious immediate risk to skin, tissues, eyes and other parts of the body. Any body part coming in contact with a corrosive material must be flushed with water immediately and then medical attention or opinion should be sought.

So, there must be taking some precautions during marketing of corrosive chemicals. The precautions may be as bellow:

a)The corrosive chemicals must be packed with non-reactive and hard multi-sheet can.

b)Products name and reactive agents should be mentioned on packet.

c)Precautions must be clearly informed on packet and papers.

d)The corrosive chemicals must be handled smoothly when shift and transport.

e)The corrosive chemicals must be handled smoothly when stored and selling.

f)   The corrosive chemicals must be distributed among proper authorized or licensed persons.

g)The personnel should be trained up and proper protected dress-up who engaged to handle the corrosive chemicals.
