  • Talent Acquisition is the systematic exertion of effort towards attracting and gaining possession of a creative, artistic and mentally gifted individual and on the other hand Recruitment is basically attracting and selecting individuals suitable for certain jobs within the organisation.
  • Recruitment is concerned with inviting eligible candidates for existing vacancies within the organisation whereas Talent Acquisition in an ongoing process and the elements include employment branding, relationship building with potential candidate communities in a bid to enhance and continually build the talent pool in the organisation

Talent Acquisition, is acquiring Skilled, High Potential human resource for Core Business Function, they are Leader of Future, Talent Management is the process of Career progression plan , retention are the process . But recruitment is linked with Talent Acquisition. 

 

Recruitment is conventional process,with the Aim of  Right person for Right Job, Human Resource planning (HRP)  is basically linked with Recruitment Process

Both are different.

Recruitment is a linear process, where employers source candidates for the existing vacancies currently available. This approach is reactive in its nature, thus leads to increased time-to-hire and cost-to-hire. At times organizations compromise even on quality in order to manage cost and time.Talent Acquisition is ongoing cycle of process that start by building Employer Brand, communication of Employee Value Proposition and ongoing relationship with targeted Talent segments. This approach leads to the development of talent pools and talent pipelines eventually creating sustainable talent supply chain. Talent Acquisition is geared towards anticipated demand and typical hiring needs rather than the current talent demand. This leads to more strategic nature of the approach and significant improvements across all Recruitment KPIs.

Talent Acquisition, in simple words is an 'Objective' i.e. to get the right talent in the organization. Recruitment is just one part of the process through which you achieve the objective of talent acquisition.

In simple terms, Talent Aquisition is an upgraded version of Recruitment and Selection. In the market there are organizations which do not use the title of Recruitment Officer any more and it has been replaced with the title of Talent Aquisition Officer.
