It depend the source of the news, we can follow some media which take a specific positions (politique, religion... position).

The Social medias  provide a very great quantities of informations but not all news are objectifs that is why we must choose the credible source of informations

Well this is a good question and i for one would not say iam an expert on this except to offer my opinion.

  • Firstly, Social Media has opened a variety of doors for everyone to do their own reporting thus opening a new can of worms on the traditional fundamentals of Journalism. Whatever those are but some of which include verifying the truthfulness of information presented as news.
  • Secondly, to some extent Social Media has brought us to a new era where things are reported in real time without reservation or censorship which makes it harder to keep secrets individuals, companies and / or Governments alike. Thus in its own right provide objectivity.
  • With anything, there is no progress without disadvantages. People have become so smart that even the news that we may perceive as objectively presented is still subject to manipulation and made to look like its happening in real time when in actual fact its just a figment of our imagination. Or may be i just watch too many movies, but then again the apple does not fall far away from the tree.
  • "Anyone who simply collects facts and sets them down is not a reporter. Unless you also weigh the evidence, you are not a journalist, you are a stenographer."  -  Alan Sunderland
  • Needless to say more there is still need to be objective because most information these days is also presented in a way that suits the presenter / reporter. In a nutshell there is just too much information that is coming from both sides to either sell products, discredit others, to spearhead ideas and so on therefore its just an overload of information.
  • The real problem is coming to a decision based on an overload of information that still need to be ciphered.

Not always, but I think the most objective social media is the one that depends on videos.

It depends on ppl n their school of thought who r handling it

Hi

Social Media news is really critical. Sometimes it will spread more than the news channel. We need to check at all times the source of the news

if it is certified source such as News agency, News channel and governmental organization then we can follow and share

if it not then sharing than news may be really critical and may affect the city and in sometime it can have global effects
