First of all, in house public relations refers to the department in an organisation specifically designed to tell "a story" to the publics unlike sourcing an agency to do the telling. The team's mainly focus is only on the company products and its market and they help in building the brand and reputation of the company. They mainly understand what the business entails and have an impact on the success of the company and they work in conveying the company"s story to the right people in a compelling manner through the correct and most effective channels. Also there is immerse access to the company resources hence a more transparent way of conveying the message.

 

However, such a huge task in building a company's brand needs manpower which in house PR does not permit, the department is mainly a one man job which means loads of work on one man. Such may result in limitations on the visibility and product awareness of the brand.
