Follow the First In First Out or FIFO practice where the first shipments or products to be delivered in the company should be put in the front of the shelves to be able to be sold first than the later products that has a later expiry date.

First of learn the lingo of expiration dates like sell by, best if used by (before), Guranteed fresh, use by and pack etc.

Then follow First Expiry First Out instead of First In First Out. Sometimes by mistakes second time supplier may deliver the food which is going to expire before the food delivered first time.

First In First Out - if you have an inventory program you can have your product by expire date, but something very important and is part of your monthly project is the physical inventory that includes expire date check.

While receiving the food item, expiration date and LOT details needs to be entered and then in Allocation setups Allocation Rule to be set as FEFO.

Checking the date of expiry when we bought the material from the purchaser if the date is expired we will  return the goods to vendor.
