Li-Fi is wireless communication technology similar to Wi-Fi, but would provide far higher transmition speeds. It is still in development and testing stage and may replace Wi-Fi depending the security level it can provide.
Signal transmission process using light waves, it is faster and the can carry more data.
If it would be out of reach in jordan and the middle east so dont get too excited.
Li-Fi is a latest Technology that would replace the slow speed Wi-fi very soon....:)
Lifi is faster than wifi but it won't replace the wifi
Ex: if your light is off you don't have reception

yes it would replace but still will take time to establish,, may be3 to4 years

Li-Fi is a great technology but is only limited to line of sight since its based on light. Although it does have high speed but its limited in range, much like the Bluetooth technology.
Li-Fi technology is depend on LED bulb mean data is traveled into light form while Wi-Fi is the radio frequency technology, however both technology has its pros and cons. but in short Li-Fi can not replace wi-fi because
1. Li-Fi depends on site of line while Wi-Fi don't
2. Li-Fi can not penetrate through concrete wall while Wi-Fi can pass through wall
3. Li-Fi work best in bonded environment like room , hall but not good in open area while Wi-Fi signals travel good in open environment.
Li-Fi or light fidelity uses LED light bulbs to send information, and theoretically can deliver internet access times faster than Wi-Fi "up toGB/sec".
However, because Li-Fi uses only visible light, it does not work through walls, nor will it work outdoors in the sunlight.
Due to its limitations, initial usage of the technology may be restricted to crowded areas where Wi-Fi usage may not be safe such as aircraft, hospitals and other places where radio signal interference is an issue.
