live chat is a good thing, or can be. I have received good advice and was able to choose the right products for a project I am working on. I haven't used it much, but when I used it, live chat was helpful.

Live chat is a good alternative to traditional customer service just in case of availability and convenience. In the sense that if it's not possible to interact with the customer face through the traditional media, live chat is an alternative. Still, live chat shouldn't do without the traditional customer service.

Technology is changing the communications' ways for better. Live chat is another way of communicating and helping customers as long as they feel satisfied with that.

Some ways yes it is , when you are looking to buy a product etc... their are a lot on helping, But certainly a no, when you have a billing issue, or discrepancy with something they always take overmins to resolve, and never happens

Better ... I am not so sure ..

But you have to keep one thing in mind no busy telephone lines or waiting till you get called back ....

The online chat can be annoying when you just browse, but it is definitely a plus  if you have questions about the product and pricing...

Some people rather speak with a friendly voice they are perhaps already accustomed to... having both is the better way to go and covering2 medias ...

but this is just my opinion...
