From a woman's perspective I would say that the relationship she has with the manager is very important, even more so than for the company she works.  If an employee is mistreated then any satisfiying job can become a nightmare.  Dealing with a stressful work relationship puts a damper on productivity and motivation.

In my experience it is combination of both company and manager. I my previous company my manager was good, supportive and motivating person who always encourage me to learn and grow.

Whereas in my current company there is no such environment and if want to learn or develop new skill i have to do it on my own and at my expenses.

So in my opinion it is% company and% manager because of which employee leave the company

I think it's the MANAGER, because an employee must get a good internal customer service from the manager first..

Really this is a GREAT question!

I worked for one company for4 years. Actually I started my career with that company. Now, I am in UAE looking for job. I would like to share my personal experience about Company and  Manager.

I was very much associated with my colleagues and have very strong relation with them. Some of them have recently resigned. During the discussion what I found that employee itself, salary, job profile, and supervisor are responsible for attrition.

Most of the time salary and job profile is the big reason to leave jobs. Then manager's roles come and very few employees leave jobs due to personal reason.

Most of the company follows open approach. You can reach to your AVP or VP at any time if feel disagreement with your supervisor and you will get instant solution. In my case manager was never the reason to leave. I had good relation even though our views were not same on several things.

HR department should focus on "suitable candidate-suitable job profile". They hire candidate in a hurry or at cheaper cost that after6 months or less turn into attrition. Sometime those employees can work for1 year just to show stability in another company. But ultimately he/she will leave. So, job profile should be suitable to stop attrition.

So, overall I would say more than% credit goes to "Salary, Job Profile and Manger” in any attrition.

Thank you! Have a nice job profile with handsome perk and of course very nice manager. Enjoy!!!

It largely depends upon the work environments in the company and the compensation package. Employees may tolerate a bad boss if a. Company offers a hefty compensation package and b. The employees gain professional benefits and experience. Moreover, the employee should be professionally proficient and tactful with the ability to conform to the organizational needs while maintaining minimum essential contacts with his manager. Employees with heavy pockets are seldom seen leaving a company due to Managers.

Employees leave their jobs when they want (or need) a change. The nature of this change is very diverse from person to person, from company to company, etc.

A manager can sometimes be limited in their ability to make staff perfectly happy. They can encourage and talk and be as happy as they can with their staff, but, if the company has placed a staff member in a job that doesn't suit them - that can be a problem.
