Should grammar be used in second language teaching deductively? why?

Yes, grammar should be used in second language teaching deductively since it is a higher level of learning the English language.  it is very important to base all conversations and reading to comprehension, that is to relate the logic of each word in a sentence to come up with the idea

Deductive reasoning is essentially a top-down approach which moves from the more general to the more specific. In other words, we start with a general notion or theory, which we then narrow down to specific hypotheses, which are then tested. 

A deductive approach involves the learners being given a general rule, which is then applied to specific language examples and honed through practice exercises.

In other words, exercises and questions guide the learner to work out the grammar rule. 

So yes it should be used in second language teaching.
