How to you deal with Revision Number in a Server/Workstation based VTP network so your workstation mode switch doesn't cause a VLAN config change?

When you add a switch with a workstation mode VTP it may change the vlans if its Rev No is higher than the server. How do we tackle such a situation?

changing the vtp domain or configuring the switch in vtp transparent mode well reset the revision number to0 so you can add the switch to the network without causing any change in the network

(vtp v.3 has a different mechanism to choose the vtp server so if you add a new switch with higher revision number it will not take over as vtp server and change the vlan database)
