There are some brilliant teaching bodies in BIM Education:

1- BRE ACADEMY: offers a complete scheme for learning BIM Level2 , They offer two levels of courses in UK which are the "BIM LEVEL2 FUNDAMENTALS"  and "BIM PIM TIM" Course.  These courses are rich in content and the instructors have solid BIM Expertise.

2- RICS : Offers6 months diploma for running the project using BIM approach and more ever to mention is that they provide the BIM workflow inside real projects. This is amazing thing to get.

3- BSI : Offers4 days training in the UK which are called "BIM MASTER CLASSES" , those4 days extensive learning workshops will provide a very good background and techniques for implementing and running BIM inside project.

Those are the Courses I recommend away from the master degree, master degree in BIM is another thing to choose between universities and the content.

Thanks, Ibrahem Naeem

It depends entirely on your profession. If you are an architect; seek for courses in architectural BIM . authoring tools such as ArchiCAD; Revit Architecture and so on. If you are a structural engineer then you should be looking for courses in Revit Structures; Tekla Structures.

That is one factor; the other factor; which is a very important one; is what is your local market going for; what BIM process is your company applying, because no matter what course you take; if you can't apply it in your daily work it's worthless.

I found Answers here include many good course recommendations so plus all the above ,BIM is a software based Technology ,which means you must have the technical part as RICS courses you must have the software knowledge such as revit ,tekla BIM ,Aecosim ,and how to deal with models and extract what can benefit the project to the max , on the other hand ,BIM as new technology has been adopted in many project without a certain role ,so for me I recommend to have alook to other specialties in the project as a part of knowledge gaining such as (planning ,procurement ,site , surveying ,Cost controls, even IT ) to have a wider view of project requirements and know how to offer BIM support to other departments.
