This can be a very difficult situation and there may not be a solution. The key (as always) is to understand what is really going on. Why do the star and the rest of the team not get along?
Sometimes the star despises the rest of the team for their relative lack of success, and/or feels that they are "dragging her/him down".
The rest of the team must come to understand that they are not performing as well as the star and therefore they have something to learn from her/him. The star must become connected to the success of the rest of the team.
Always make sure that the star really is a star and doesn't just appear to be. Sometimes it's all just smoke and mirrors, or they cover a more lucrative market segment.
