Are employers really concerned about where prospective candidates obtained their MBA and about the length and mode (online or residential) of study?

I think it is only about fulfillment of requirement. Rest depends on you how you justify...

I think other than the very well known institutions the employers hardly bother to give any weightage to these factors. It is the candidate who can make them believe that he knows and he can deliver during the interview that appeals to them.
