i lent a camera from a friend to make photos of my birthday part, i just did two photos. once i was doing the third, it crashed. so i became silent and returned it to him. are there any mistakes in the text? if so, give me your advice or opinion using should or would?

I borrowed a camera from my friend to take pictures of my birthday party.  I took two pictures, once I clicked to take the third picture the camera broke down.  I remained silent and returned the camera back to him. 

Side notes: I lent means that you gave your friend your camera. 

I borrowed means you took the camera from your friend.
