If you are looking out for a better sales person for a service-based industry, or any other industry, following are the common points which every sales person should possess:

1. The candidate should be assertive in nature;

2. Should be able to convert a "WANT" into a "NEED"

3. Should have a good knowledge his/her target market;

4. Presentable, since any sales person is the face of the organisation;

5. Should be able to communicate well enough to convince any customer into a client;

6. Should know his company, and competitors in the market;

7. Last, but not the least; Presence of Mind.
