Do you think students should undergo an entrance exam before they get accepted in a computer science major? What kind of exams?

Yes, because most students do not know what they is waiting for them. I would like them to have logic exams and exams involving sequences

Yes, to assess mental handling capability. I would vouch for aptitude tests

Either joining a school/ company/bussiness or any firm, etcit  needs a level of expectation from both sides, well it depends ,some perform well in oral test, some in written, as none is perfect with concepts,as getting hired is painfull process,everyone need to brush up the skills for better progress.

yes in order to track the learners' capabilities and knowledge on certain areas. Diagnostic Exams are way better

I don;t think its a good idea to have an entrance exam for the students for computer science major.

The main aim should be to flourish the students instead of putting more burden on them.

I am fully agree with the answers. I think an entrance exam for the computer science major is important especially in English and Mathematics.

exam conducted for a computer science major students must be in Maths, Physics and General Knowledge.

Everyone should take a general exam just to test what they already know before !

Yes they should, a pre entrance exam for the computer science major as it will define the student capability to take the course. 

Some schools & college provide a preparation year where the student learn English, math, and introductions/entries for his chosen major. If he's prepared and passed then will start the major degree. Otherwise, have another major and in the same time he didn't waste his time and just can start academic cause the student already started the preparation year.
