What is broadband transmission?

Broadband transmission is a type of data transmission which is using analog signal that is modulated to transmit data using different frequencies which makes it able to use  a single medium (wire) to carry several channels at once. Usually broadband transmission transport data in one direction, which is towards user. If user needs to send data, an individual channel will be used for data and special amplifiers are used for data separation.
