Rehearse and practice by all means, but don't memorise answers. Repeating an answer you've memorised makes you look like an idiot. Worse, it means you are not engaged with the interview ... and since the interview process is about establishing a relationship .... you're doing a foolish thing.
It can also make the interviewer feel stupid because they have asked such an obvious question you have a memorised answer. It renders both the question and answer worthless, and thus wastes everybody's time.
When interviewing candidates who produce a memorised answer, I tend to challenge them (nicely!) about it. How the candidate handles the challenge is important.
Learning of past interview question and answers should not be a problem. Moreover you need to understand concepts behind them, so that you can apply your knowledge gained through past experiences and answer to the point. Rehearsing doesn't workout, but learning and gaining knowledge will help answering the questions. I think Interviewers will surely recognize if some answering like rehearsed one and they surely expect the natural and application kind of answer. I think so. Thanks for the invitation.

As soon as you hear a rehearsed answer from a candidate, an interviewer can assume that you have undergone some kind of coaching which may work against you in the interview. A candidate needs to show his original self & highlight his personality traits, achievements & qualifications in order to project himself as an individual fit for the position applied for.
Taking the above into consideration the candidate must prepare thoroughly covering all aspects such as his, experience, qualifications, best achievements, strengths & weaknesses etc on one side & a thorough study of the company on the other. He must also be prepared to answer questions relating to situations given by the interviewer & questions on general awareness related to the type of industry.
Answer:
Interview is the opportunity, when you have to show your competency. Now, each interviewee has different set of qualifications, experience and skills. So, answer of the interviewees will not be the same. Moreover, now-a-days in most of the cases, the employers prefer a written test followed by competency based interview. In competency based interview, the interviewer checks the quality of experience and depth of acquired skill of the candidates based on several probing questions.
Starting with the most popular question ”Tel us something about you” Now the candidates will describe their work experience and achievement, which will be different for each candidates. The interviewee then pick up question” When you did that? How did you accomplish? What was the outcome? What were the challenges? How did you overcome the challenges? Will you address the similar situation in the same way or differently? If so why?
So, it is better for the interviewee to prepare such questions and rehearse accordingly so that he/she can answer the question correctly. The beauty of Competency Based Interview is that interviewer will be able to judge the quality of experience and depth of knowledge and would be able to make a final selection based on academic qualifications, written test and interview score.
So, it is advisable that the interviewee shall prepare popular questions genuinely and rehearse accordingly
