As a mother of two, how can I make sure that I apply my child care philosophy entirely, despite the distractions of the school and my boys' friends?

Children are the one of greatest blessings of Allah. They should be first priority of a mother. Ignoring their needs, grooming or not giving them enough time is 

Children are the one of greatest blessings of Allah. They should be first priority of a mother. Ignoring their needs, grooming or not giving them enough time is like ignoring your future. Raising a child in a best possible way has long term impact as it is not only the matter of a single child rather a full race. 

So a mother has to curtail all other activities in a fashion which can best accommodate her children.

Thanks for the invitation. I agree with Mr. Anayat Bukhari's answer an is very true. There is a saying in Indian Telugu language i.e "mokka ayi vonganidhi manaai vangunaa?"  equivalent means is "when you could not mould when it is a plant and is it possible to mould when it becomes huge Tree".

so the children stage is very important in anyone's life an the role of mother has got lot of impact on children and their future life and habits and behaviors. So I would advice your children have some time every day teaching them Qur'aan with meaning and asking them implement in their daily life practice sure help the child groom as a excellent human being. Don't think too much philosophy.  I missed those good happy life as a child learning from my mother. My 2 cents.Thanks.
