Foremost - Ensure the person on the other line is the decision maker on your sales pitch, if not then he/she should be an influencer.
Then it is important that the person is not in the middle of something or busy, if they are - it's advisable to schedule a call at an appointed time and follow it up with a calendar note inviting the person for the call
Make the pitch crisp, clear and concise - if possible - share a presentation with the potential client or the brochure of what you are selling and then go through it during the call. If not - keep the client website open and see how best your product would add value to the client and make it a part of the pitch.
Do some research on the client's needs - if not the client then the sector's need at large - this will help you gain credibility with the client.
Pause and give the person time to absorb the information - take time to listen.
Close the call with a promise to follow up and thank the individual - send an email thanking the person. If possible try to 'squeeze' a commitment on a timeframe from the potential client on their interest to buy or decide on the product.

to take care of the customer needs is essential in sales calls by :
1. give a problem that the product can solve.
2. the solution to the problem.
3. building trust with the customer by introducing the company's mission statement and the after sales benefits if the policy of the company provide that.
all with care, step by step, and with friendly tone yet sharp and specific.
As a App Developer I would suggest most of technical aspects.
If you're targeting to iOS app then you will have to make sure about performance. Technically Objective C is a superset of C language therefore you have to take care about memory management. If there will be more memory leaks then App will not be performance friendly. To reduce this problem, make sure you hired good App Developer.
Other aspects will be:
Simple interface.
User friendly.
Bug free.
Provide most important business features in App.
