In your opinion, is it better to work in a well-known company, but in a position you don't like, or to work in a startup but in a position you prefer?

You can't bring success to your career unless you really love it. So I would go with the second option working in a startup but in a position I love seems like the best option

Both have their own advantages. Let us understand the advantages of working for both options;

1) Working for a known company - It helps us learn lot of things. It adds vale to your profile. It helps in dealing with various situations and in turn gain managerial skills. It will help you learn organisational culture. Slow and steady growth & less decision making powers would be a disadvantage.

2) Working for a new setup - You will have full power to take any decision. We can learn based on situation. Risk involved is more. Rapid growth possible.

Hence from the above we can see what advantages we can gain and based on that we can decide given an potion where we would like to work.

As far as I am concerned I would like to work with the recently opened company as with my choice of position is due to;

1) Growth option will be better

2) More learning scope

3) Better pay

4) You can lead the show

That's an extremely important questions but it depends from person to person.

As a fresh graduate it always helps if you learn from experts, so working in a multi-cultural bigger organization generally helps you learn key management lessons before you venture out and work for a smaller company which helps you maintain work/life balance.

Some people are however gifted with project management skills, and if you feel like you're a shark in a bowl of water, you can always start your journey in a smaller/warmer setup, or opt for making one yourself if you have the right Entrepreneurial Vision & passion.

No doubt the second one, in first instance.

But the first one is plausible too, if we´ll consider if there were possibilities to grow and achieve other positions in that big organization. It´s good to be able to work in different areas to gather experience and have a wide outlook of the company other areas beside the one that you are specialist..

I would prefer the position I like over the one I don't like, I can't get to my full potential  power if I don't like my job.

To a great extent, this will depend on the job satisfaction of candidate and his motivation, where he would be able to contribute significantly for the success of the organization
