How do you make security and safety awareness training programs more interactive and fun?

Jokes, funny pictures, funny videos, web comics, etc. if you keep an eye on these sorts of things you'll notice that they occasionally deal with security-related concepts. i guess what i'm suggesting is, rather than focusing on security information that happens to be presented in a fun way, maybe focus on things that are fun and try and pick out the ones that also happen to be useful for your project. oh, and you might find something useful at secmeme.com, or not.

To make more interactive for the safety and security awareness training is to share practical examples and solutions to the problem at the concerned workplace . A good role play session will also help to acelerate the learning process for all level of participants in the training/awareness sessions.

I was do the same in my Safety training courses in tourism field  

You can make Security and Safety training more fun by having the essential tools for a successful training such as; well prepared presentation that reflects the message you want to deliver and avoiding too long onfo, well prepared training environment/center, well competent trainer, training material and the most important to include the trainees in the training to be as a part of it and that needs practical sessions which will help them a lot to memorize and understand the delivered message.

Well,considering the fact that security and safety department usually enriched with pressure and there will be a need to put the atmosphere in an ambient condition by making it fun and rewarding,so how is this objective achieved? 1. Ensure such training are propelled with incentives such as awards for the best participant. 2. Making the atmosphere an open interactive session whereby everyone are able to con tribute and express their feelings. 3. Ensure the training is not conveyed in picking out blames,which we all know as HSE practitioner is not an acceptable culture. Lastly,training should be conducted by a familiar Hse personnel like the Hse manager,who is quite familiar with the participant and vice versa.

There are a no of ways used to make the programs interesting for participants... I use 1. Some good ice Breakerz to start for example. 2. Use of jokes and some interactive case studies. 3. Asking some open Questions to enable thought processes 4. Ask some participant to present his group case 5. Taking team to field audits or inspections where possible. 6. Use of Ahort test at the end to see if there is some more effort reqd on any of the participant... The variants do change wd the nature and level of participants...

Safety and Security can be more interactive and fun when we is practically tested and exercises the existing pnp and/or SOPs. For example, lockdown procedure it will be more interactive and fun when it will be tested and exercises with the concern staff instead just doing the class orientation.

That is by use practical case studies and videos that presenting reactions causing by lack security and safety systems from our life.

and also presented level of awareness required to aviods those accidents.
