Why can't we assign Business Area to Company code? Plus If we forget our business area then what are the steps to find it?

Hello,Business area is an organizational structure that can be used across company codes.

in some scenarios, it may represent a specific organizational unit in your company code or a global unit across different company codes.

Derivation:

- you can use direct derivation via assign it to a specific cost center, internal order / derivation from sales area, plant ..

- you can derive it via a substitution methods

-  direct input during your entry 

Validation:

and to avoid wrong BA in your entry or a null entry, you can use validation method.
