I think that next popular trend in marketing after social media marketing is that the Social Media will go Private.

I believe that, the most social marketing of social media activity is going to happen in two unique and private places: private groups and messaging apps.

I could deduce that on Facebook or LinkedIn, we’re already starting to see usage of private groups take hold and a surge in people creating them. It’s no secret that if you ask power users on Facebook where they’re seeing the most value from the platform, it’s coming from the private groups that they’re part of.

Now, Snapchat started this, but the shift to messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Line, etc.  is going to force brands to get a lot more private and personal with their social media expenditure.

In marketing, this means, We are pushing ever closer to a new kind of social media: one that happens on these public and for-profit channels and networks, but one where the best and possibly most valuable content can only be seen by those who are granted permission to see it or by a small group of people. It also means that customer service is going to shift to messaging and private group spaces, and that brands will be expected to provide this level of communication between them and their consumers.

While what is proved to be most fascinating! is that this usage and growth is fundamentally a mobile experience. This will be brands’ biggest struggle post 2016, as they’re still ramping up to provide responsive web marketing experiences that aren’t mobile-first by design.

It could be most strongly recommended - bulk mailer software linked into big data. it could get more popularity in upcoming future.

Here, bulk mailer software have many options to find out real and right clients based on the type of product, dead / active email account verification, email open/ closed, reviewed status report and many more . And Big Data also could be capable to provide deep market insights and product predictive analysis report  based on regions, sub regions, high/  low  utility customers and many more functions.

Until now the existing social media marketing is targeting the mass so there is a great scope to DO MORE. It's too early to comment that will it transform existing social media or some thing new pop up :)

Sincerely I have no idea what can be coming after social media in marketing strategies.

One thing I'm almost sure, is that "Virtual Reality" it´s be driven to pursuit market/consumers/public need´s; so, the marketing just need´s to adopt also that new tool.

P.S. And I'm excited that those times will come soon..and quickly :)

Well my best guess is that, due to the technological developments

in the world and the idea of having VR ( Virtual Reality ) & holographic presentations in events & on devices. I would highly speculate that someone might venture into something new. A cross between social media marketing & VR. That would also be appropriate if applied with guerilla marketing strategies and tactics but that's just my speculation.

Currently social media is the strongest and easiest way of buying and selling product which makes social media number one marketing trend. I don't think there will any marketing trend coming soon to compete with social media but it can be more advanced like making updates on all social network site not only to view the product but also to buy through any social site. Also SALE can be implemented for like always and not only seasonal.
