The future of mobile apps development is a mixed bag. I suspect that some will develop using native languages and others using HTML. Those that want native languages will either develop with integrated development environments IDE's, others with component based factories platforms and some like me develop with extendable Model Driven Development Platforms that allow natively developed extensions there by removing all restrictions. That latter allows for more business minded people to develop the apps, rather than analysis / developer combos but still have the back up with real core developers to demand extensions designed to fulfil needs outside what is currently available.
