Depending on the type of duct standard recommend test. For low pressure ducts in Domestic and Commercial Building Light test is enough.
the type of testing depends on the system usually the most expensive method is smoke and the most convincing method is light and most accurate is pressure but in general we employ light test during the evening or night time
