First thing and immediate thing after Project's kick of meeting should be Material Procurement Plan and required material analysis on the site as per Construction Milestones. Main focus should be for long lead material and critical paths. 2nd more important thing to get final construction schedule because with out final construction schedule we can not make perfect procurement Plan.
Remember: Perfect procurement plan can make your process so easy and understandable. unplanned procurement activities always create complexity and confusion which may impact on the whole construction schedule and project can be delay. Delay in project will impact on project cast and time and it can be a big failure.
if procurement is efficient so its mean Procurement team is 50% contributing for project success and if procurement is not efficient so its mean Procurement team is 0% contributing for project success.
