Certainly the man, the man is stronger than the women in the structure of the body and personality, and he is able to protect people and protect himself
In most respects the gender of the manager is not really a factor in determining the management of security. As security is many faceted and reaches into all spheres of a businesses operations then it should be down to the skill sets of the individual and how those are applied. Security needs an adaptive approach with a great deal of transparency (it should not be "in your face", so to speak). A good manager who understands the role they are filling, has good man management capabilities coupled with a high proportion of Emotional Intelligence, if experienced and knowledgeable, should be a good manager regardless of their gender.

No gender will determain the quality of work, academic knowledge, training, skills and high intellegence will be the factors to describe a best security managers,
but since security field is sourced with the majority of male employees, stasticaly the chances are higher for a male to achieve higher stronger knowledge and skills which will lead to better management and productivity, yet female management has proven that they can be strong equal competators too.
dependent on skills and admin support with tools to success
I have no apresiacion on the type of gender in supervision in a given area, but to give you a ejmplo of the dangers involved, as is the oil industry, certainly it requires greater responsibility to protect the personnel involved, to give another clearest example, pilots of commercial aircraft operated by male staff because of the dependent life of the passengers on board.
Women are the best security managers.
