Depending on what you are marketing, you could look for groups on social media, where you can get your name out there. For example, there are companies that hold weekly/monthly gatherings on twitter using a hashtag to group messages. By tweeting with this hashtag you can market yourself to other like minded people, or people looking for the service you are offering.
Doing some research on what is currently out there will help you greatly!
Although I haven't done this personally, I know of people who have had success with this method.
