The idea of HRBP is the process of alignment is known as HR business partnering and may involve the HR business partner sitting on the board of directors or working closely with the board of directors to accomplish business goals or targets.
HR business partners are often the most senior HR professionals within the department, with experience of putting points across to senior leaders on a regular basis.
The communication skills are very important for HR business partners as they need to communicate the financial value and future worth of person-centered HR policies to the company’s leadership, as well as communicate high-level decisions down to other members of the HR department and the whole organization.
As business partners HR specialists:
● Work closely with their line management colleagues.
● Are aware of business strategies and the opportunities and threats facing the organization.
● Are capable of analysing organizational strengths and weaknesses and diagnosing the issues facing the enterprise and their human resource implications.
● Know about the critical success factors that will create competitive advantage.
● Adopt a ‘value added’ approach when making a convincing business case for innovations.
● Share responsibility with their line management colleagues for the success of the enterprise and get involved with them in implementing business strategy and running the business.
