I would like to explain on the following ways which could be managed during job search depression.
1. Identify cognitive distortions such as focusing on the negative (“Yes, I have a degree in accounting but last year I made I mistake on a spreadsheet!”) and deal with them.
2. If you’ve been on anti-depressants before and they have helped, maybe it’s time to use them again – talk to your doctor!
3. Don’t just “suffer it”; please realize that you have a right to feel serene and content, and nobody benefits from your feeling down.
4. Share your experience with others, with your friends and family, with a local support group, or online.
5. Visit a counselor; sometimes just one or two visits can make quite a difference.
6. Practice meditation and relaxation.
7. Educate yourself; read a book such as Listening to Depression.
8. Recognize that depression is often a coping mechanism. Don’t reject your depression; accept your parts that look “broken.”
9. Practice non-violent communication and learn to talk gently and compassionately to yourself.
Thanks. I agree with Mr. Mohammed Ashraf and Loraine. I also would like to just to start experimenting different models. Maybe you can consider:
1. Outsourcing your skills and experience and become a part-time consultant to different companies.
2. Dig deep in yourself and find your passion combined with a business opportunity and start your own business (if you say I don't have enough money, you can find investors if you have a good business idea / feasibility study)
3. Look for a job in a different country
4. Revise your resume and make changes to it. Most people use the same resume they've always been using with only adding their most recent jobs.
1. Believe in Allah “GOD”.
2. Work hard on developing your competencies and skills.
3. Be patient… patient… patient…
4. Don’t give up too soon and stay persistent till the end.
5. Always find other alternative solutions.
6. Have positive spirit.
7. “Because every little thing is gonna be alright” Bob Marley
1. Creative CV's, video CV's, and if possible in person applications will all help you to stand out from competing prospective employees.
2. Search for other possible job positions that could get you through the door to a better position or the position that you are aiming at (for the time being).
3. Listen to motivational CD's while driving/relaxing
4. Take your vitamin B supplements and try some super food additions to your diet to increase energy and positive energy. Get enough sleep.
5. Encourage yourself and others who are in the same dilemma.
6. Take on a 'I can do it' attitude versus 'Life isn't fair' behavior, because others may depend on your employment besides yourself and getting this job is a dire necessity, great responsibility, and action is required--
so just do it--
go get the job!
you can do it!! :)
(I just gave myself a great pep talk...hope that it works for you as well!)
Thanks
Fully agree with your answer Mr. Mohammad

(Personal interview) that your good self has attracted the attention of the employer and therefore decided to extend an invitation to you to attend a personal interview. This is your chance opportunity to personally promoting the all important things that you read the employer. As it should also be noted that the personal interview is a double way you conducted a major search of the company before submitting your order to them, but the personal interview is your chance to find out more information about the company, and interview some of the people who work the company and decide on whether these represent your company where you wish to work in it or not.
How to market yourself Have you ever heard one day about a product achieves profit without good marketing him ... I do not think ... Did you know that their possession of the qualifications, experience and skills are a precious commodity, must be marketed in a way good to the business owners and companies on the basis that they were clients kind of goods, but the question that Atrkh himself strongly how to cite those kind of goods ... The answer is very simply that you can play this role through four different ways .
First, your follow-up newspapers and magazines to start tracking companies that are looking for employees to have the same specialty and start correspondent either by regular mail or email or even dial-up Second, then go to the companies and submit your CV, even if those companies were not asking jobs in your specialty now and also do not forget to go to the little ones before the big recruitment companies are developing your resume have .
Third: Sign up for mailing groups of researchers for jobs and you will receive dozens of letters a day from functional places vacant Fourth (most importantly): Sign up for recruitment companies on the Internet and is considered the best and most successful way marketing your resume where is the online recruitment sites are the best for business owners and corporate attractions in our time
Depression is not the way, if one is depressed and frustrated it will make him still down. There are ups and down in one's personal life, what required is optimism, getting the required qualification and trying for the related job in that field is important. If one honestly try for a job definitely he will get it. I have been hearing like no job, unemployment, economic recession, no scope for jobs like that over the years but still thousands of jobs have been created and people are getting jobs. What is important is to be optimist and to see that if one has required qualification and try for the job.
@Muhammad Ashraf: Bravo, Right on target as per current market. Before answering the question I'd like to share my opinion regarding recession etc. I believe this kind of market situation bring more opportunities as most HR teams execute CHANGE program to improve workforce planning as per changing market. I have read a couple of surveys by renown recruiting agencies and overall impact is not more than 10% downfall.
It's hard to concentrate on long terms goals specially when someone has no platform to perform. I think it's the best time to do a 'Self assessment'. First define possibilities based on your skills and then refine job hunting approach by improving content of your correspondence accordingly. Most important is to make your social existence both with online and real life contacts.
This process/action plan only need attention, time and consistent effort rather big money :p.
Motivate yourself within and it will show out to public, overcome your depression and improve your interpersonal skills.
After that, change the written construction of your CV highlighting your skills and experiences.
