There are many ways to motivate the team (sales Team) which I personally tried before and it was successfully lead to very good results:
1. Sharing the internal news and updated them about company decisions and goals: this is the first and important step to give employees a sense of trust
2. Listening attentively: team used to speak comfortably about their problems, dreams, ideas, suggestion and even personal issues.
3. Set a different competitions:
a. Who can achieve a sales in one day from new client
b. Who can get cash order in specific amount in one day
c. Who can reactivate a relation with old customer within a week
4. Continuous training and coaching
5. Increase team authority to specific limit.
6. Admit team achievements and present it in front of top management
7. Promote the best person whenever opportunity is available
8. Monthly rewards and yearly commission
9. Participating in their personal event and celebrating in their birthdays, new baby’s, … etc.
motivating the employee by providing reward for every achievements, and providing appreciation certificate of achievements.
Creating an environment of transparency, where you will speak openly about the business to the employees and they feel comfortable coming to you with anything that's on their minds can do wonders for the collective motivation of your workplace. That's because transparency builds trust; when people understand that you aren't hiding anything, and that you'll listen to anybody, they're far more likely to respect you as an authority and appreciate you as a leader. It also opens inter-departmental channels, giving employees and supervisors greater clarity and more opportunities to openly communicate. Employees are more comfortable bringing up what they like and don't like, and there are more chances to nip potential problems in the bud by calling them out.
Perhaps the most important part of a good manager’s job is communicating effectively. Creating a culture of communication in which managers and employees share common goals and work together to meet them can boost a company up and even save it from the gutter
Brief explanation of their job importance within the company, and detailed explanation of the task in hand, and then treat them to a job well done. A good manager should not only be a good listener, flexible but fun as well.
..Participative management..this makes the employees to own their job.
...Rewards
...Compensation especially for those working overtime
....clear definition of the organisation's objectives. .
.....Clear defiant ion on the lines of communication.
.....Be there for them and more also encourage team work
But giving them incentives
The first sure way to motivate and inspire your employees is to demonstrate that you have faith in their abilities to get the job done.
Reward people for a job well done, and they’ll be more likely to repeat the performance and do what it takes to earn the coveted prize. Positive reinforcement, after all, is one of the oldest, tried and true psychological principals.
Similar to the first point about showing your trust, another way to inspire and motivate your employees is by investing in them. Offering things like tuition reimbursement, a mentoring program, one-on-one coaching, and job shadowing with people in higher positions sends a clear message: you care about their career and their future.
No matter what your job is, whether it’s packing orders at a distribution warehouse, or managing a Fortune 500 company at the executive level, we all want to know that our jobs matter. Show your employees why they matter to the company, and what the results of their work are, and they’ll feel rewarded and motivated to keep at it.
It can be discouraging to your employees when they see big company decisions being made without anything mentioned to them. It makes them feel isolated and unimportant. How do you get around this? By asking for your employees’ opinions. Asking for their input creates a sense of belonging in the company, making them feel like they matter.
Encouraging, commanding power and clear communication.
Clearly define your vision
Give employees what they want and need
Communicate well and often
Get everyone engaged
Coach for success, and practice random acts of kindness
if Employees Have good work atmosphere and friendly managers, they will perform their maximum for the employer
